Return, Refund & Warranty Policy – Saskatoon

At SMS Appliances Inc., we sell new, open-box, and refurbished appliances. Please review this policy carefully before completing your purchase.




Overview

  • Return eligibility depends on the type and condition of the appliance.
  • Warranty coverage applies only to functional defects and is separate from return or exchange eligibility.



New Appliances

Warranty

  • All new appliances include a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
  • Warranty covers functional or mechanical defects only.

Returns & Refunds

New appliances may be returned within 30 days of delivery under the following conditions:

  • Unopened and unused appliances: eligible for return with a 20% restocking fee
  • Opened appliances: eligible for return with a 30% restocking fee
  • Delivery, installation, and removal fees are non-refundable.



Open-Box Appliances

Warranty

  • Open-box appliances include a 1-year limited warranty covering functional defects.


Returns & Exchanges

  • Open-box appliances are sold at a discounted price.
  • No refunds are available.
  • An exchange may be considered if the appliance does not fit the space or requirements.

Exchanges are subject to:

  • product availability
  • additional delivery or pickup fees, if applicable

Warranty Resolution

  • We will first attempt to repair the appliance.
  • If repair is not possible, the appliance will be replaced or credited up to the original purchase value.



Refurbished Appliances

Warranty

  • Refurbished appliances include a 100-day limited warranty covering functional defects.


Returns & Exchanges

  • All refurbished appliances are final sale.
  • No refunds are available.
  • An exchange may be considered if the appliance does not fit the intended space.
  • Additional delivery or service fees may apply.

Warranty Resolution

  • We will first attempt to repair the appliance.
  • If repair is not possible, the appliance will be replaced or credited up to the original purchase value.



Non-Returnable Situations

Returns or refunds are not available in the following situations:

  • Open-box appliances (no refunds; exchange may be considered as outlined above)
  • Refurbished appliances (no refunds; exchange may be considered as outlined above)
  • Special order items



Defective or Damaged Items

  • Any defect or damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Approved claims will be handled according to the applicable warranty terms.



Exchanges

  • Exchanges are subject to inspection and approval.
  • Proof of purchase is required.
  • Additional delivery or pickup fees may apply.



Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds (where applicable) are issued to the original payment method.
  • Processing time depends on the payment provider.
  • Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable.
